The JAVS took an all stars team to play in the Saturday end of season George Orwell tournament at North Middlesex in the shadow of Muswell Hill and Alexandra Palace in North London. A sterling effort on a gloriously sunny day lead in a Churchillian manner by our new young and thrusting captain, our very own ex director of communications. We lost against a George Orwell Xi in the first game. Won the second game to get to the semi finals then we were beaten by a strong Beamers team who scored in excess of 100 runs. Better luck next year.
